In addition to our regularly scheduled times, the sacrament of Reconciliation will be offered on Saturday mornings from 8:00-9:00 and Wednesday afternoons from 4:00-5:00.
Join us on the Thursdays of Advent at 7pm where we will pray together Evening Prayer or Vespers from the Liturgy of the Hours. The Liturgy of the Hours is the official prayer of the Church. Priests, monks and religious brothers and sisters promise to pray the Hours for the Church and the world each day. Diocesan Priests pray the Hours five times throughout the day. The laity are also encouraged to pray the Liturgy of the Hours. No experience is needed, a brief tutorial will be given before we pray each week, and all materials will be provided. During Vespers, Father will give a reflection on one of the psalms or antiphons to help us understand what the Church is praying as we prepare to greet the Lord Jesus at Christmas. Please join us.
To Whom Shall We Go?
Our difficult topics series continues with a look at why the Church ordains men only to the Priesthood and why the Latin Church requires Her Priests to be celibate. Join us immediately after the 7pm Mass on Tuesday, December 5. The presentation will last roughly an hour.
Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception
On Friday, December 8, the Church celebrates the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception, the singular grace that freed the Blessed Virgin Mary from the stain of original sin as she was conceived in the womb of her mother, Saint Ann, so that Our Lady might be a worthy dwelling to bring forth the Word made flesh, Christ the Lord. We will celebrate Mass at 9am and 7pm.
